GEORGETOWN, COLORADO – Paul Davidson, 18, of Idaho Springs, was advised today in Clear Creek County Court on a felony charge of knowing/reckless child abuse causing serious bodily injury, a Class 3 felony.
Allegations are that on August 29, 2016 defendant Davidson caused physical injury to his two-week old, newborn child. First responders found the child breathing with difficulty and bleeding from the mouth, an area where trauma was observed.
The child was transported to a hospital where the following injuries were diagnosed: a broken right clavicle, bruising and abrasions, and a fractured skull.
Investigating agencies include Idaho Springs Police Department and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation.
Defendant Davidson is being held on $15,000 bond and is next due in court on August 31, 2016 at 1:30 PM.
